DinoPDF

Privacy Policy

Last updated 13 August 2026

The short version

Your PDFs are never uploaded. Every tool on this site runs inside your own browser, so the documents you open here are never transmitted to us, never stored on a server, and never seen by anyone but you. We could not read your files even if we wanted to.

Your documents

DinoPDF is a client-side application. When you choose a file, it is read into your browser's memory and processed there using WebAssembly and JavaScript running on your own device. The result is handed back to you as a download. At no point does the file, or any part of its contents, travel over the network to us or to any third party.

You can verify this: open your browser's developer tools, watch the Network tab while you use a tool, and you will see no upload. Once the page has loaded you can disconnect from the internet entirely and the tools still work.

Because we never receive your documents, we cannot recover them, and we have nothing to hand over if compelled. Passwords you enter into the Protect and Unlock tools are likewise used only in your browser and are never transmitted.

Recent files stored on your device

For convenience, the results of your operations may be saved in your browser's IndexedDB storage so they appear in the “recent files” list. This is local storage on your own computer — it is not synced anywhere. Clearing your browser data removes it, as does the clear button in the recent files panel.

Account information

You do not need an account to use any tool. If you choose to create one, authentication is handled by Clerk, and the personal data involved — typically your name, email address, and login timestamps — is stored on Clerk's servers. We use this only to identify your account and, in future, to associate a subscription with it. See Clerk's privacy policy for details of their processing.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, the date at the top of this page will be updated. The no-upload architecture described here is a property of how the software is built, not a promise we could quietly withdraw.
